Contest Rules and Regulations
1.
The “RBC | FLICK OFF Campus Challenge” (the “Contest”) commences at 9:00
a.m. (ET) September 16, 2008, and concludes at 5:00 p.m. (ET) October 5, 2008.

The Contest is open to all legal residents of

Notwithstanding this, the Contest is not open to the employees, agents or
representatives of the Program Partners (including their respective divisions,
subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising or promotional agencies) and suppliers
providing prizes or other materials or services in connection with this Contest
(collectively, the "Excluded Individuals"). This Contest is also not open to the
immediate family members of the Excluded Individuals, and all other persons with
whom the Excluded Individuals reside.
4.
GRAND PRIZE:
There will be a total of four (4) Grand
Prizes available to be won. The
Grand Prize consists of: (a) standard hotel accommodations in Kingston, Ontario
on the evening of October 17th for winner and 2 guest, (b) 3 (three)
seats on the FLICK OFF Express VIA train car from Kingston to Ottawa, (c)
meeting with David Suzuki at the FLICK OFF Rally in Ottawa,
(d) $1000 cash to be awarded upon arrival in Kingston, Ontario, (e) And a
“Featured Friend” on MySpace Canada (www.myspace.com/aplaceforcanadians).
Total value of the prize is approximately $1,500.

SECONDARY PRIZES:
There are a total of 4 (four) Secondary Prizes available to be won. The
secondary prizes are (a) $1,000 in VIA Rail Travel Credits, (b) $1,000 Pre-Paid
VISA Card provided by RBC
(c)
$1,000 Roots Gift Card, or (d) $1,000 Virgin Mobile Pre-Paid Cell Phone Plan.
6.
No purchase is required to enter.
To enter the contest go to
www.flickoff.org, click on the “RBC | FLICK OFF Campus Challenge” link and
follow the directions indicated. For
each “Flick Off” commitment you make you will receive 1 (one) additional ballot
in the draw. For each email address
that is validated you will receive 1 (one) additional ballot in the draw.
7.
If a potential winner is not in compliance with the Official Contest Rules and
Regulations, the Contest Judges shall disqualify such entrant from the Contest.
8.
The official Grand Prize draw will be executed on or around October 6th,
2008. A total of 8 (eight) names will be pulled out of
all eligible electronic entries
submitted through the RBC | FLICK OFF Campus Challenge website by legal
residents of

In order to be declared a winner by the Contest Judges who are
employees/representatives of RBC (“Contest Judges”), a potential winner must be
in compliance with these Official Contest Rules and Regulations and, in
particular, the following:
9.1
Comply with the Contest entry procedures in Section 6 above, as
applicable.
9.2
A Contest Judge must reach the potential winner by email within two (2)
business days of the date on which the potential winner's entry was selected.
9.3
The potential winner must correctly answer, unaided and within a set
timeframe, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by a
Contest Judge
by
telephone.
9.4
The potential winner must also complete, sign and return a standard form
declaration and release prepared by RBC within eight (4) business days from the
date on which the form is sent to the potential winner (“Release
Documentation”). The selected winner, by signing the Release Documentation,
releases and indemnifies the Releasees (as defined in the Release
Documentation), under the terms and conditions of the Release Documentation,
from any liability in connection with the prize or the Contest. If the Release
Documentation, which will include a consent, waiver and release, is not returned
within the specified time period, the prize will be forfeited.
9.5
In the event of any dispute regarding the identity of the party
submitting an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted
by the holder of the e-mail account.
10.
If a
potential winner is not in compliance with the Official Contest Rules and
Regulations, the Contest Judges shall disqualify such entrant from the contest
and randomly select further entrants from the remaining eligible entries until a
winner is finally declared.
11.
Entrants will not be individually
contacted, except for selected entrant winners, who will be contacted by email.
By entering this Contest, you permit the Sponsor and its agents and/or representatives to collect the information submitted with your entry and to use it to administer the Contest. You also permit us to use and share this information with other RBC companies to promote to you products and services that may be of interest to you, unless prohibited by law. We and RBC companies may communicate with you through various channels, including telephone, computer or mail, using the contact information you have provided. You acknowledge that as a result of such sharing they may advise us of those products or services provided. We will respect your preferences otherwise recorded with us. GENERAL
12.
All entries become the sole property of, and are subject to verification by,
RBC. Any entry that is illegible, incomplete, altered, or contains false
information, is invalid.
13.
Any attempt to tamper with the entry process, interfere with these
Official Contest Rules and Regulations, deliberately damage any website or
undermine the administration, security or legitimate operation of the Contest,
(collectively referred to as “Prohibited Acts”), is a violation of law, and the
Contest Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages and/or other relief from all
persons responsible for such acts to the fullest extent permitted by law, which
may include banning or disqualifying entrants from this and future RBC
contests.
For further clarity, Prohibited Acts include, without limitation:
(i)
Use of automated equipment - the use of any automated equipment to participate in this
contest is prohibited.
(ii)
Playing multiple instances of any game or interactive element
– users are not permitted to play multiple instances of any game or interactive
element at the same time in order to manipulate any point accumulation.
14.
The
Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for: entries lost, stolen, delayed,
damaged or misdirected, or for the failure, interruption, technical malfunction
or delay of any email or other communication to be received, for any reason; any
incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by contest website users or
by an equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest by any
technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries in the
contest; problems with the function of any website or website feature howsoever
caused; the malfunction of, or damage caused to, any telephone network or lines,
computer equipment, data or software, online systems, servers or access
providers; any functionality lost due to not having cookies enabled; traffic
congestion on the Internet; the security or privacy of information transmitted
via computer networks; or for breaches of privacy due to interference by third
party computer "hackers".
15. The Contest Sponsors
reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to substitute any component of a
prize for its cash value or a prize of approximately the same retail value or to
cancel any portion of the prize.
Prizes are non-transferable, must be accepted as awarded by RBC and cannot be
exchanged by a declared winner for cash or other substitutes. The refusal by an
entrant to accept any prize releases and forever discharges the Contest Sponsors
and their agents of all obligations related to the prize, including delivery.
The potential prize winner must sign the Release Documentation as
specified in Section 9.4.
16.
RBC reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice,
to amend, cancel, close, suspend or reinstate this Contest at any time and for
any reason whatsoever.
17.
By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by
these Official Contest Rules and Regulations,
which are subject to change without notice to Contest entrants individually,
and each entrant releases the Contest
Sponsors, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors,
officers, employees, representatives, agents and advertising and
promotional agencies, from any damage, loss or liability suffered as a result of
or arising from the entrant’s participation in Contest or the use of any prize.
18.
The Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all
applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
19.
The Contest and these Official Contest Rules and Regulations shall be
exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the
